Hike for Hospice
Held the first Sunday of every May, Hike for Hospice is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year in support of our important Hospice Society programs and services. We had to cancel our Hike for Hospice event in 2020 and hosted it virtually in 2021 due to COVID-19, so we are thrilled to be able to host our 19th Annual Hike in-person this year on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at Blackie Spit Park, Crescent Beach.
Not only will we be celebrating being able to come together in-person again, but this year also marks our 40th Anniversary of serving the South Surrey and White Rock community. In honour of this milestone, The Block Charitable Foundation & Geoff and Jolene Funke Foundation will be matching all Hike for Hospice donations up to $20,000.00. Double your impact for this year’s Hike and help us reach our goal of $40,000.00 in honour of our 40th Anniversary!
Our Hike for Hospice event will give you the opportunity to walk or run 1, 3, or 5 km and raise funds in support of Peace Arch Hospice Society as an individual participant or on a team. This event is family-friendly, including your dog(s)! Each year Peace Arch Hospice Society supports hundreds of individuals and families on the Semiahmoo Peninsula who are facing terminal illness, grief, and end of life. Your fundraising dollars will go towards providing professional support, free of charge, to the terminally ill and ongoing bereavement support for families and friends after the death of a loved one.Date and Time
