Home Care Assistance is a private, non-medical, home care company whose mission is to "Change the Way the World Ages". We provide older adults with quality care that enables them to live happier, healthier, more independent lives at home by providing assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, appointment accompaniment and companionship.
What makes us different from other companies is that we go beyond just basic care, we provide lifestyle care. What this means is that we train our caregivers to take a holistic approach to care and look after the entire well-being of our Clients. We call this the Balanced Care Method (www.balancedcaremethod.com).
This method covers areas such as nutrition, physical exercise, mental stimulation, social interaction and calmness. All of these factors have been proven to be integral in not just prolonging our Client's lives but also in improving their quality of living and giving them a sense of purpose. In addition, we have highly qualified, dedicated case managers, who are either nurses or social workers, and they provide ongoing supervision of the care of all our Clients and also serve as their advocate and a resource for their family members. It is the caliber of our caregivers, the extent of ongoing case management we provide, our 24/7 availability and the holistic approach to care that truly sets us apart and has enabled us to make a difference.

Every organization has a culture. It’s defined by many different business practices, but to most it’s simply known as 'the way things are done around here.'
As a consultant focused on leadership development and organizational effectiveness, Jane Iannacone of Jigsaw Performance will tell you that as the leader, you either shape the culture of your company or it shapes itself.
“The important choice for leaders is whether to consciously build the culture they need for success—or just let things play out and hope for the best.”
“Businesses do not manage themselves. They might be able to survive, but they won’t thrive - their performance will be a fraction of what it could be.”
After working with leaders for almost 20 years, Jane will tell you that consciously managing your culture is essential to getting better results - to execute better and faster. It’s important for all companies and critical for rapidly growing organizations.
The success your company is able to achieve is directly related to your ability to lead the organization and culture is just one of your leadership responsibilities.
At Jigsaw Performance, we help business leaders identify opportunities to improve their company results by working on their leadership skills. We build leadership capability, which leads to more engaged and productive employees, more satisfied customers and more balance for you.
A third-party perspective can provide you with valuable insights that can propel your company forward much faster than you could achieve on your own.
Jane earned a Graduate Degree in Business from Carleton University in Ottawa, with a focus on leadership. She worked at an international consulting firm, held a variety of corporate roles and worked as an independent consultant prior to founding Jigsaw.
She has a practical approach designing right-sized solutions that get results. What sets Jane apart is her energy, positive attitude and ability to ask the right questions that will challenge you to rethink what is possible and leave you re-energized and ready to take on the next challenge.

Long-time friends and White Rock locals, Stephanie and Krista opened Honeylush Hair Studio in September 2015 with the idea of providing the White Rock community (and beyond) a comfortable, yet beautiful salon with a ‘downtown’ feel.
Stephanie had been working as a stylist in White Rock/South Surrey area for over 12 years and recognized the need for a new, fresh space in White Rock. She approached Krista (who at the time was working for the City of Richmond as a Recreation Programmer) when the Saltaire space became available as it was an opportunity that could not be passed up. Krista was craving a more creative outlet and jumped at the opportunity to partner with Stephanie.
With the client experience as the first priority, Honeylush carefully selected two product lines: Schwarzkopf for hair colour and Bumble and Bumble for their amazing quality of products and continual education for stylists.
Why the name Honeylush? Honey is pure, humble and beautiful; Lush emulates luxury and pleasure - all things the salon hopes to achieve and represent for the clients.
Why the bee in the logo? Besides the correlation with honey, bees are highly social and operate within a team-based community. They symbolize abundance, hard work and love - all things the salon values within the working environment and experience for the clients.
Honeylush Hair Studio is located in beautiful White Rock, B.C. in the Saltaire building situated at the corner of Johnston Street and Thrift Avenue.
Urban Decor Centre
“It’s like Disneyland for creative people” That’s what we’ve heard more than a few guests say upon their first visit to Urban Décor Centre, a hidden gem amongst industry in the burgeoning Campbell Heights Business Park.
After 18 years of promoting local art & designing and producing stunning picture framing packages it was time for local owners Tracey and Lorenzo Zinetti to shake things up a bit. The idea for expansion to a 7000 sq. ft. showroom came with an eclectic mix of new product lines, all geared towards standout items for your home.
One of our many services includes artwork scanning to create digital files for Giclée (Fine Art) printing, and then printing onto canvas or papers. Many great local artists have their printing needs taken care of here.
Custom Framing is still front and center, along with a major selection of ready to hang artwork, housed in framing presentations crafted right on site. We are proud to emphasize this – our wares are not mass produced in China - we work hard to offer appealing, well made decor at excellent price points.
You’ll find ‘Art for your Floor’ - sumptuous area rugs that are both fashion forward and made with the highest quality materials. Custom Furnishings where you choose your colours and fabric… as well as long-lived furniture pieces refurbished for the “new vintage” look. Learn how to refurbish your own pieces with our very fun & popular FAT Paint Workshops.
Part of a good home is having a good mattress to sleep on every night – you can get those here too! Our philosophy is very different from the big box stores… we do not have ‘sales’, we don’t like those games. You’ll find Warehouse Pricing each and every day on every mattress we carry.
We like to think you’ll feel at home the moment you step through our doors…

Piya Sandhu Owner/Chief Curator
With a marketing background and some pretty fantastic and irreplaceable sales experience under my belt, I decided to take the plunge and embark upon a new journey to open up my own home decor and lifestyle shop. Our shop family includes myself, my husband and (financially wise) business partner Pav, and our shop 'guard' dog (who needs some work on the guarding part), Colbie.
We opened our doors on August 18th, and followed with a grand opening on September 12th. Friendly visitors from all around the neighborhood peeked in to watch the construction and set up of the shop, and shared our excitement as it all came together. White Rock is a beautiful city, and we are so excited to be part of offering a new and refreshing shopping experience for our customers. Change and growth are upon White Rock, and The Handpicked Home is lucky to be amongst the beginning stages of these growing times.
A successful business is important to us, but how we make it successful is equally pertinent, and our support-local initiatives will allow us to grow our local economy and help provide work for those closest to us. It has been a rewarding experience finding unique designs for The Handpicked Home that come from across British Columbia, through Alberta and all the way to Ontario!
Where we go to be renewed, we become alive.
Where we go to be restored, we find peace.
When the body, mind, heart and spirit feel collectively alive and at peace, there is nothing more simple and powerful in life than to just be in that space.
We invite you to The Space to be renewed, be restored...just be.
The Space Crescent Beach Wellness Studiio is a place to achieve optimum vitality. A place for engaging with one’s inner wisdom by integrating practices that align the body, mind, heart and spirit. Our theme of restoration and renewal is embedded in all workshops, classes and one-on-one services, each designed to promote regenerative healing through gentle practices and ongoing support.
Rather than separating our activities into physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions, our vision is a 4-dimensional integration within The Space and also within each of our guests so that we may collectively live our lives in a healthier, more mindful way.
Whether you join us for a class, attend a workshop, sit or walk with us in meditation, experience the healing energy of Reiki, engage in your life conversation through Life Coaching or gather with us in robust conversation about the book of the month at our Monthly Inspirational Book Club, we look forward to welcoming you to The Space Crescent Beach Wellness Studio!
