My chiropractic skills are specially adapted to my patient’s needs and conditions. Long-time friends and White Rock locals, Stephanie and Krista opened Honeylush Hair Studio in September 2015 with the idea of providing the White Rock community (and beyond) a comfortable, yet beautiful salon with a ‘downtown’ feel.
Stephanie had been working as a stylist in White Rock/South Surrey area for over 12 years and recognized the need for a new, fresh space in White Rock. She approached Krista (who at the time was working for the City of Richmond as a Recreation Programmer) when the Saltaire space became available as it was an opportunity that could not be passed up. Krista was craving a more creative outlet and jumped at the opportunity to partner with Stephanie.
With the client experience as the first priority, Honeylush carefully selected two product lines: Schwarzkopf for hair colour and Bumble and Bumble for their amazing quality of products and continual education for stylists.
Why the name Honeylush? Honey is pure, humble and beautiful; Lush emulates luxury and pleasure - all things the salon hopes to achieve and represent for the clients.
Why the bee in the logo? Besides the correlation with honey, bees are highly social and operate within a team-based community. They symbolize abundance, hard work and love - all things the salon values within the working environment and experience for the clients.

With a marketing background and some pretty fantastic and irreplaceable sales experience under my belt, I decided to take the plunge and embark upon a new journey to open up my own home decor and lifestyle shop. Our shop family includes myself, my husband and (financially wise) business partner Pav, and our shop 'guard' dog (who needs some work on the guarding part), Colbie.
We opened our doors on August 18th, and followed with a grand opening on September 12th. Friendly visitors from all around the neighborhood peeked in to watch the construction and set up of the shop, and shared our excitement as it all came together. White Rock is a beautiful city, and we are so excited to be part of offering a new and refreshing shopping experience for our customers. Change and growth are upon White Rock, and The Handpicked Home is lucky to be amongst the beginning stages of these growing times.
A successful business is important to us, but how we make it successful is equally pertinent, and our support-local initiatives will allow us to grow our local economy and help provide work for those closest to us.
